Decision

Tuesday, 26 July 2011

I came across an interesting forum thread. It said that Premium Miracle Cubes (PMC) have 25% chance to turn an item from 2L > 3L. Many people did so in 1-3 PMC, sometimes 4 or 5 tries.

I feel like trying it on a reverse. Perhaps I am going to buy 20 cubes, cube a spear to epic with Normal cubes, and then PMC it until it is 3 liner, and hope for a unique status.

That sounds like a good plan, though 20 Cubes = 400M, and 4 PMC = 340M. And I need another 20 cubes to go Unique = 400M. That's expensive and I don't have that much right now. Cubing is gambling.

So am I willing to spend a bomb on another end-game weapon? Or not?

Bosses
Went Zakum twice today. I am surprised that there is no CWKPQ. Also went papulatus clock twice at night. The drops by clock have been nerfed rather badly. Each potion type only has about a 60% chance to drop I think. I have not gotten a screenshot of the new drops, but it used to be a long row of meso bags and potions and now it is rather pathetic, sometimes it looks like a normal monster drop. But such a nerf had to come - milk prices have dropped drastically and so have sunset dews. Even the famed power elixirs and elixirs have dropped to 3k and 5k each. And those are selling prices, not buying prices.

August Perks
There are a few things that I can't help but look forward to in August.

1) New Equipment - Getting a 9% Str top which I paid 300m for. I'll be getting it early August if all goes well. My recent +7 stat medal expired, so this 9% top is going to make up for that and hopefully boost str to 1600.

2) New Area - Lionheart Castle. An exciting update. I hope it comes on the day my holiday starts and my exams end. I currently get about 6% per hour training, and I think the new area will be 10% per hour. Each monster gives 0.07% I predict and killing 2 monsters every minute should not be a problem especially since the entire guild can deal 250M damage, taking our a krexel eye in 13 minutes. That's 20M damage per minute, relatively enough to kill 2 Monsters (of 9.6m HP each). Not to mention that crusher can hit 3 mobs and the platforms sometimes spawn up to 4-5 mobs. There is a new area boss. It has 550M HP and looks relatively easy to kill excluding the fact that it can easily heal its HP to full without a good strategy. Not sure if the guild can take it down so not expecting much for this.

3) New Skill - Having trained my KoC to lv. 113, I'm going to get a 22wa buff which hasn't been implemented yet, called BoE, which is similar to BoF (which I get 14wa from currently). With the new skill, I'll be getting an 8 wa boost (soon to be 9 wa boost) from the update. I noticed that each attack adds +92 max damage in my AP stat screen. That's approximately 6 Strength, which is quite a lot seeing how that's definitely going to boost max damage by +900, and crusher damage by about 7200 for entire crusher (without criticals).

4) Secret Weapon??? - This is a secret plan. A very hidden perk that I can't tell right now, but the guild will know when August comes. I can't wait! Haha

Non-secret Perks summarized:
+ 6% More Total Str (62 STR / 10WA) }
+ 9 WA (possibly 10) } 20WA Increase Total
+ Training Speed Increase

BGM 1: Memories of Ossyria's Aquadungeon

Monday, 25 July 2011

Yesterday, I was listening to a background music (BGM) in the game, of a place called Aqua Dungeon.

Aquaroad is the only underwater area in the game and you swim instead of walk. A very cool place indeed.

Aqua dungeon is the dungeon of that place. I used to like training at what used to be a high-leveled area. (I died a lot here too in my lower-leveled days.) The music is rather peaceful and tranquil even though it is supposed to be a very dark and perilous place.

My favourite map there is "Deep Sea Gorge II", which is a place that spawns lots and lots of goby houses, which happen to also be one of my favourite sources of money that time.

Usually when I play, I would mute the BGM and listen to my own music, but every time I train and farm there, I would actually listen to the game's BGM and pause my music for a while because I really like the tranquil music.

------

Sadly, after an update known as the "big bang", the map was changed. It no longer spawns goby houses and it has been replaced by other monsters. Now, it is an empty and avoided map which hardly anyone goes to, just like the other maps in this deserted dungeon. It is quite sad actually, because it is one of my favourite spots in the game.

"Memories of Ossyria: Aqua Dungeon" is how this BGM is titled.

It had been some time since I listened to it, and when I listened, I would remember two things:

1) Me and my friends partying at Deep Sea Gorge II, killing the goby houses there together. That was a really fun night training there as a Hermit, Ranger, Dragon Knight, Priest party.

2) My Viper hunting the gobies there.

The special thing about goby houses is that they don't give experience points when they die, but after they die, six fishes (called gobies) will appear and charge at you, and each goby gives high amounts of experience points. And because there are six of them, they drop six times the amount of money. I loved these gobies.

My viper was very good at hunting these monsters and I missed those times.

Now though, with the update, the game has introduced many other new areas, and people hardly train in this dungeon as the experience rate is not comparable to those newer areas. I won't be visiting Auqa Dungeon maps any longer than I have to take to walk past them. Even as new characters, I only spent two levels there before moving on to new and better training spots.

Papulatus, Cape

Wednesday, 20 July 2011 - Papulatus, Cape

Today, I played for a short while mainly because I was busy the whole day. I went online and clocked twice.

I did not create a blog when this happened, but I'll write about it anyway. I bought a very desirable cape for my dark knight. I had to sell my balrog chair at 170m for this to happen, but it definitely is worth it. I had managed to scroll the cape to +10 STR in the end, which made for an even better cape.

CWKPQ

Tuesday, 20 July 2011 - Relaxed

Today is a rather relaxed day. There aren't many activities. Today, Melvin scrolled his reverse sword and ended up with a 4 of 7 passes.

Shan made a Reverse Claw for Xuhai. It came out 5 attack above average, which is extremely decent.

I have not began to create my spare reverse weapons though today I went to gather the materials to forge those weapons with the two of them.

We went CWKPQ at night. There was no Zakum because CWKPQ itself is time consuming. We did not manage to go twice because of the non-existent 24 hours limit which obviously is supposed to be over.

Went to test damage with Sharp Eyes buff with a recently bought Cape. I like it.

First Post

Monday, 18 July 2011 - First Post

Introduction
This is the first post on my Virtual Life blog, which obviously, is going to revolve around mainly one game. There will be other really minor flash games, but really, those are going to be ultra rare posts. For my real life blog, please visit the most boring blog in the world, also known as " lifeisnth-but-bordem.blogspot.com ".

Banner
I created a banner based on a screenshot I took in Zakum's altar as well a screenshot I took at the end of today's CWKPQ run. I set it to display at the TOP of the blog. It's lovely and looks pretty nice to me. Those are my favourite screenshots by the way.

Today
Went Scarlion with Han, Shan to get a helm for Carl's mechanic.

CWKPQ
When CWK with the intention of getting MoN, a very powerful end-game pendant for four people: Carl, Shan, Legion and my mechanic. However, my mechanic disconnected during the boss run, which is quite a pity. Too bad though.

I also failed to collect a cape during the bonus round as it dropped. What a waste again.

I got so worked up over that, and I was telling my friend in such detail that he said. "Okay stop" "Now i feel sad". Ah well never mind.

Carl was asking whether we fight that big stone guy in the first screenshot above after we arm him with weapons such as wands, claws swords and guns and bows. It would make for a fantastic boss. I did not capture any screenshots for the boss.

But look to the left...some lucky guy really got the best clean pendant in the game.

Zakum
Went Zakum with Legion and Shan. We missed 4 times (I missed twice) and shan disappeared halfway.

End of day thoughts
CWKPQ - Mostly successful (12wa MoN, most people satisfied except me, who failed to get the pendant and my cape)
Scarlion - Success
Zakum - Fail???

Zakum 2
But suddenly, Shan reappeared, and I successfully botted into the altar. We went in and defeated it.

Zakum - Success

You can look at the bottom right of the big screenshot for the amount of experience I gain, but it doesn't look as nice. I enlarged another screenshot for you to see.

Zakum Drops
Everyone's probably sick of Zakum dropping the same things over and over again. Today's drops aren't so colorful, but let me paste a colorful one from yesterday's. Just look at that rainbow of skill books!

Blog thoughts
I'm starting to regret making this blog. It feels obsolete. No point putting what I do daily actually because there isn't much to talk about and most of the stuff is going to repeat up till the point everyone, including me, loses the hype to read or post such stuff.

(I have a feeling this blog will die very quickly)
While FM-ing
I saw time piece 1.99m each, enhancement scrolls 555k each, and Potential scrolls 2.2m EACH.

I am planning to forge a second and third reverse weapon, at a total cost of 180m for the time pieces.
- If it's a 2-liner, I can enhance it with my main spear until one of them reaches an ultimate amount of attack.
- If it's a 3-liner, I can cube and hammer it such that it won't lose to my first spear. (There's a skill that can potential scroll an item without wearing it and thus making it untradeable.)

Sounds like a fantastic idea. But 180mil for a 25% chance for the 3-liner scenario to happen. Would it be worth it?

The reason I'm forging two more is because I don't want to forge any more weapons ever again. I want to get a final weapon done and over with. Though, that's definitely hard. If both of them are 2 liners, it's a serious money sink.
